Personal profile


Dr Hu Haibo received his PhD degree from the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology in 2005, and held several different research / academic jobs in HKUST and HKBU since then. His research interests include information security and privacy, wireless data management, and location-based services.  He has published over 50 research papers in refereed journals, international conferences, and book chapters.  As Principal Investigator, he has received over HK$4 million external research grants.  He served on organizing and programme committees for many international conferences, and is the recipient of a number of awards, including ACM Best PhD Paper Award, Microsoft Imagine Cup, and GS1 Internet of Things Award.
