Dr. Lyu joined the Hong Kong Polytechnic University in 2022. His research, spanning technology innovation, business, and sustainability, has been published in journals such as Technovation, Environmental Modelling and Software, Academy of Management Perspectives, Journal of Business Research, Service Industries Journal, Business Ethics, the Environment and Responsibility, Journal of Environmental Psychology, and others. He was also the Wiley most-cited authors 2022-2023 on R&D Management. Committed to academic service, he acts as an external reviewer for multiple peer-reviewed journals, such as Research Policy, Sustainable Production and Consumption, Technological Forecasting & Social Change, Journal of Retailing and Consumer Services, Journal of Business Research, British Journal of Management, and Education and Information Technologies. Dr. Lyu's research focuses on topics in behavioral theory, particularly on issues to do with firm adaptation and decision-making in the digital economy, the role of performance feedback in innovation strategies, the innovation of digital platforms and sustainability practices, and the behavioral aspects of corporate governance.
