Organisation profile

The Department is one of the four departments in the Faculty of Applied Science and Textiles. It has an establishment of 43 faculty members and 16 supporting staff. The Department contributes to the University by offering a broad range of academic programmes and the supervision of research student. In addition, we provide courses to various departments and faculties across the University, via service teaching.

Our mission is to facilitate learning through excellent teaching and research in Applied Mathematics with leading expertise in optimization, optimal control, computational mathematics, applied statistics and actuarial science, financial mathematics and engineering mathematics.
