Prof. Li Ping, Dean of the Faculty of Humanities and Sin Wai Kin Foundation Professor in Humanities and Technology, was interviewed in CRHK’s programme “Education Forum” broadcast yesterday (30 March) about a study by his team on how learners respond to virtual learning with different types and levels of interaction. According to the study, students are more motivated to perform socio-emotional and cognitive processing when an instructor, human or animated, is present onscreen during online learning.
