    The mask mandate has been with us for almost 1,000 days, and was recently extended to March 8. But expectations are rising that it will finally be relaxed some time next month.

    Meanwhile residents and visitors in Macau can now go mask-free in outdoor settings.

    While health officials stress that the mask rule has added a layer of protection during the pandemic period, there are others in different sectors and many residents who look forward to face coverings becoming a matter of personal choice, once again.
