On Monday’s Backchat, the vaccination rate; and local tourism.
Bookings for inoculations against Covid-19 are declining with CE Carrie Lam saying the number of people taking the jabs has dropped to a “worrying” level.

She says she we are still striving to maintain zero local infections with the aim of having the borders with the mainland reopened, and so we cannot adopt the strategy of coexisting with the virus, an approach which is becoming more prevalent elsewhere.

It's been announced that 21 of the 26 community vaccination centres will stay open through December, while more outreach teams will be sent out to encourage the elderly to take the jab.
Meanwhile, schools are also encouraging students and teachers to be vaccinated, in order to reach the 70 percent threshold needed to resume full-day classes.

What should we do to boost the vaccination rate? With US President Joe Biden order-ing measures to require workers at big companies to be vaccinated or face weekly test-ing, can we do the same here?

After 9:15am, we’re discussing local tourism, with West Kowloon -- home to more than 50 attractions -- being added to the Hong Kong Neighbourhoods programme.
