Carrie Lam announced on Wednesday that the landmark Jumbo Floating Restaurant in Aberdeen has been donated to Ocean Park, which is set to run it with NGOs as part of a wider government plan to revitalise Hong Kong’s Southern District. In her policy blueprint, the Chief Executive said the restaurant would be turned into a cultural heritage and tourism attraction. Professor Brian King from Polytechnic University's school of tourim, told Janice Wong he welcomed the plan:
