Description
Over the past decade, the number of economic evaluation research on physiotherapy interventions has increased. This seminar will define and discuss the key terminologies relevant to the understanding of economic evaluation. The presentation will report the findings of two systematic reviews on the cost-effectiveness of physiotherapy interventions, one cost-estimation analysis completed in Hong Kong and one ongoing RCT alongside an economic evaluation on the benefits of dual-task training for improving balance among people with cerebellar ataxia. The talk will highlight the need for conducting cost-effectiveness studies and the limitations identified for the lack of economic studies among developing and underdeveloped countries.Period | 18 Nov 2020 |
