Neon lights, an icon symbolizing the prosperity of Hong Kong as well as a significant part of Hong Kong people’s collective memory, have been drawing public attention in the recent years. Several projects have been putting effort to preserve them as some start to wear out. The organizer of the Hong Kong Neon Archive, Prof. Brian Kwok, will share his thoughts and experience in operating the project, promoting public awareness and the meaning of archiving the neon lights.
