This lecture will introduce innovative neuroscientific research methods, data collection and analysis tools for assessing cognitive and emotional responses to virtual experiences of spatial environments and design.
The lecture will present the methodology and process of neuroscientific research in urban design, including how to prepare and utilise functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI) data for emotional cognition, and how this can be applied to a human-centered design approach in the built environment.
